She was the heart of her family, a woman whose home was always open, whose table always had room for one more, and whose love knew no bounds.
Throughout her life, Connie dedicated herself to serving others through her nursing career in the military and being a counselor at an abuse center. For many years, she cared for her patients with extraordinary compassion, skill, and dedication. Nursing was more than a profession to her, it was a calling. She spent countless days and nights comforting those who were sick, advocating for her patients, and providing care during some of life's most difficult moments. Through her work, she touched and improved the lives of countless individuals and families, often becoming a source of hope, strength, and comfort when it was needed most. Through them, her legacy grew into a beautiful family of 12 grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She never missed an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments, comfort them during difficult times, check in daily, and remind them how deeply they were loved.
Whether she was baking favorite family recipes, sharing stories from years gone by, attending school events, offering words of wisdom, caring for her grandchildren or simply sitting and listening, she had a remarkable gift for making every person feel seen, heard, and valued. Her grandchildren will forever treasure the memories of her warm hugs, infectious laughter, gentle advice, and the countless traditions she created that brought the family together.
