

Cora Alice (Coble) Quevedo, 84, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away September 18, 2025, at a local hospital. She was born November 11, 1940, in Caridad, Cavite of the Philippines, to the late Urban and Concepcion Ver Coble. She was a devout Catholic and devoted her entire life to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Upon coming to the United States in the early 1960's, she spent her early years as a teacher in the New York parochial schools and in 1963, she married her loving husband of 44 years, Pena J. Quevedo. She spent the remainder of her years as a devoted housewife and mother.
Cora is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pena J. Quevedo; son, Patrick Quevedo; brother, Joseph Coble; sisters, Filipinas Coble, Thelma Blas and Teresita Dimaguila. She is survived by her three daughters, Corinne Carson and her husband, Doug of Fort Smith, AR, Caroline Ulerick and Jennifer Quevedo of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Wesley Carson of Wichita, KS and Kelly Carson of Rogers, AR; one brother, Adolph Coble of California; and many nephews, nieces other close relatives.
Cora was the kindest, most selfless woman you would ever meet. She loved her family & friends dearly and prayed for them constantly. She will be greatly missed by her family and anyone who was honored to know her.
A funeral service to celebrate Cora's life will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, with burial to follow.
