David Earl Jones

David Earl Jones, 78, passed away in his home on August 21, 2018. He was born on October 4, 1939 in Bertie County, NC to the late Jesse and Vernie Jones. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. David was a retired electrician with many years of service to Drucker Electric and Mark and Associates. David was an avid hunter and he loved to read science fiction books. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank and sister, Sarah.

Left to cherish David’s memory are his loving wife of 49 years Sharon, daughters, Anita Stanley and Karen Jones, son, James Jones and his wife Betty, 2 granddaughters: Brandi and Sarah Jones, 2 brothers: Jimmy and Jessie, sister: Katie and her husband Bill, special family friend: Mike Munford and a host of hunting buddies.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on Sunday, September 23 from 3 – 5 PM, with military honors being rendered at 4 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA.
