

Viriginia Beach Deborah Jean Trump Fockler, known to all who loved her as “Debbi”, born on July 27, 1948 in Akron/Canton, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 23rd surrounded by her family and close friends. She graduated from McKinnley High School in 1966. She entered the United States Navy in August of 1966 and served her country for three years.
Debbi married Gerard Fockler in November of 1969. She was the proud mother of four fine boys: Mark now 28, Matthew now 26, and the twins, Adam and Brian both 23.
Debbi was a “Band Mom” for Princess Anne High School. She spent countless hours volunteering her time working Bingo to raise money for the band. She was a “Little League Mom” for many years while her sons played. She also was a talented designer and enjoyed doing silk flower arrangements, decorating wreaths and doing porcelain painting for her friends. She enjoyed taking care of animals, especially her two four- legged little girls, pets Patchez and Munchkin. Debbi enjoyed the warm weather and being barefooted outside with her plants, flowers, and pets. She lived her life to the fullest and her proudest accomplishments were her four sons.
A memorial service in celebration of Debbi’s life will be held on Sunday, May 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at the Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Norfolk, Virginia 23502. As Debbi would want it, dress for the celebration will be casual. The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Humane Society/SPCA.
