Donald Glynn Gaylord Sr., 80 of 1117 George St. died August 7, 2009 at Sentara Leigh Hospital. Born in Ransonville, N.C., he was a waterworks inspector for the city of Norfolk, and retired from there.
He is survived by his brother Russell Gaylord (Iola) of Glen Alpine, NC; three daughters, JoAnn Mueller (Dave) of Denver, CO, Ruby Pfleger (Keith) of Smithfield, VA, and Donna Ellis (Richard) of Norfolk, VA; one son, Donald Gaylord Jr. (Lisa) of Virginia Beach, VA; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
