Donna Elaine Pauly

Donna is survived by her husband, Douglas Pauly; brother, Jim Weaver(Kay); brother-in-law, Bill Doughtie (Linda); nephews, Billy Doughtie (Donna); David Weaver (Rachel); Jason Weaver (Dawn); and great nieces and nephews. Also her fur babies Harry and Tucker.

Donna demonstrated a lifelong love for and abiding faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ. She was a member of Oakdale Presbyterian Church for over 55 years. She held various leadership roles teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, served as elder and music director, A GREAT SOLDIER and a GREAT SERVANT.

In 1983, Donna began her teaching career with Norfolk Public Schools. First a classroom teacher and later a math specialist for grades 1-5. She touched the lives of many students and coworkers. She was a person of few words who lead by example, she was humble, a friend to many and always put others before herself. She loved the simple things in life.

Donna and Doug were avid Admirals Hockey fans, seldom missing a game. After retirement, her love for baking lead her to enroll in cookie and decorating classes. She was truly an artist with her decorating skills. Family and friends were recipients of her cookies on many occasions.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 3pm, Friday, July 26, 2024 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 Va Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA
