Dorothy G. Maynard 91, passed away January 5, 2014. Dot was born in Rocky Mt. NC, to the late Fred and Lola Poplin. She attended Norview High School and was a Child Psychology Major at William and Mary College. She was also a member of Parkway Temple Church in Chesapeake, VA. Dorothy was predeceased by her son; Daniel A. Betor Jr. She is survived by her husband John Maynard, 2 daughters; Dianne Busby and Gina Maynard., 4 grandchildren; Donnie Busby, Danielle Gilbert-Cottle, Daniel Betor III and Freddie Betor and nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday January 10 at 1 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502 with burial following in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
