Edith Bobbitt Caldwell

Edith Bobbitt Caldwell, age 86, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas W. Caldwell, her parents, Bertha Freeman and Talton Bobbitt and a brother, Eugene Bobbitt. She was a native of Henderson, NC and was a homemaker. Her main focus was in her faith in Christ, after that, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edith enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and growing house plants. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three daughters, Margaret Ellen Heim, Katherine Caldwell Greenmun and Teresa Bowling; one son, Henry Clive Caldwell; one sister, Helen B. Parham; one brother, Joseph F. Bobbitt and four grandchildren, Jeanne Elizabeth Chalk, Matthew Stephen Heim, Cynthia Iris Heim-Moore, Marina Elizabeth Greenmun; seven great grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Kimberlynn, and Morgan Chalk, Maylen, Lily, Stephen and Brien Moore. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, September 6, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502.
