Edward Andrews Kelly, 90, went to be with the Lord, Monday, February 27, 2012. He was born in Norfolk to the late Edward Leon Kelly and Vivian Evelyn Griffin. Ed was a WWII veteran with the U.S. Army Air Corp. where he was an aerial engineer. He was a member of the National Duck Pin Association, Moose Lodge, Loyal Order of Mooseheart, and Kempsville Greens Golf Association. Ed was a avid fisherman, enjoyed golfing and was truly loved by his family.
Ed is predeceased by his wife Dorothy Woods Kelly; sisters Mary Evelyn Whitehurst and Catherine Cooper. He is survived by his children Bonnie Kelly Whitley, Lynne Kelly Basye, Andrea Marie Houston, and Michael Edward Kelly; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 11am-1pm in Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk. A service will follow at 1pm and interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors.
