Before her Alzheimer's started to kick in, I would take her on little adventures to give her partner a break and get Libby out of the house. We were sitting in the backyard and her face just lit up when a butterfly happened to appear. She loved playing with my butterflies.
I miss her all the time.  So many great memories. We had fun times on our little weekly adventures. She was so puzzled why I would do it. She said to me "when I first met you I didn't like you, but why are you being so good to me? There are others  who should be doing this and they are no where to be found. Yet you, are doing this. I said to her, someone needs to do something special for her, because she has been taking  care of others for all the years. She hated her upcoming Alzheimer's, the thought of being unable to speak and interface with others was killing her slowly.  She was so strong and there for others. She was one of those special people.

Wow…3yrs already. I  think of  you often. You are missed Libby.

Linn, I was sad to hear of Libby's passing from Sue Hammer.  Libby was my first boss in the Navy as a young E3.  She inspired me that strong women could be successful in the Navy.  I have very fond memories of working and learning from her.

Libby will be missed by so many. We remember her as  being kind, caring and generous . Always smiling , friendly and willing to help those in need.  When she saw us in a store she would run all the way over and give both  of us a friendly hug!

Libby and Linn have been my neighbors for 10 years. And you couldn’t ask for better neighbors‼️ There was never a dull moment with Libby around❣️ She was definitely a proud woman vet❣️ You will be missed❣️      ET

Libby was a dynamic and compassionate leader of the Level Green Civic League.  She brought so much good in sustaining and uniting the neighborhood!

Libby will be a shining light in heaven!  She was so very loved by the Military Women of Tidewater, Unit #152 for which she sponsored me into the group!  She was such a loving soul and will be surely missed by all that knew her!  Prayers for her family and friends and may you RIP Libby.

Libby there’s a number of things that can be remembered about you. The one that comes to my mind is the “dinner roll toss” at one of our conventions 😂. You will forever be in my heart. Rest well dear shipmate🇺🇸

Libby and I had many adventures together and she called me her trouble buddy. I met her about 20 yrs. Ago through the Tidewater Title Waves, unit 152, which was the name of the unit back then. I have so many memories of her and I getting into trouble everywhere we went. She came to know my entire family as her and Linn attended many family moments. The two of them became family to us. My entire family will miss her and I will forever remember her as a  close and loved friend.

I met Libby in 2000 when my Mom joined Unit 152 and I was pregnant with my youngest son, Ethan. From there, a long life connection was made. Through the years she and her partner, Linn became a part of our Family. Libby saw my boys , Michael and Ethan grow up and she became like another Grandmother to them. She has been there for my family through the good days and the bad days always finding ways to support us. The memories we were able to create with her will live in our hearts forever. We Love You Libby and will miss you terribly. Fly high with the Angels! 

We were neighbors of Libby and Lynn for 5 years. We loved them both. They would come to visit us often. I suspect they really came to visit Gigi, though.  Libby was so friendly and outgoing. When we were in the pool, she would come out onto her balcony and laugh at our antics. We loved her friendly flirting with Richard.  She will be sorely missed.

Kindhearted, smart, caring, funny and honest are a few great traits of Libby. Libby was one of my 2 mentors in my Navy career, she became a good friend.  I fondly called her my Military Mom.  She helped a naive NH girl understand life. I will miss her laughter and the calling of "Patricia" that echoes in my ears when she scolded me.  She was one of a kind and I loved her.  RIP MILITARY MOM...
