Norfolk, Va. Eloise J. Cooke, 72, passed away December 22, 2008. She is survived by three children, Robert Harrison, Michael Harrison and Teresa Brockman. Her two brothers; Warren Whiteman and William Whiteman. Five stepchildren, Deborah Wright, Pauline Harris, Lloyd Cooke, Jr., Carolyn Rupert and Howard Cooke. Three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and twenty-one step grandchildren and twenty step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Cooke, Sr. and her best friend, Joann Dowdy. The family would like to thank Samantha Rupert and Brittany Rupert for all their sacrifices to help with the care of their grandmother. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, and where funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday with Chaplain Dick Dingus of Heartland Hospice officiating.
