Esther Vincent Chreene

Esther Ann Vincent Chreene, 76, passed away after a year and a half battle against ovarian cancer in Virginia Beach. Esther was born in Abbeville, LA to the late Horace and Mary Helen Vincent. She is also predeceased by her husband, Lincoln Chreene. Esther grew up in Leroy, Louisiana, married the love of her life, Lincoln there and later resided in Virginia Beach.

She loved traveling, planting flowers, doing diamond art, and spending time with her family. She helped her husband run their welding business and later spent her time cherishing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always ready to greet new church members with a welcoming smile and warm hug. She was an active member of Kingdom Life Church in Chesapeake.

Left to cherish Esther’s memory are her 5 children, Kim of Virginia Beach, Chad and wife, Ann of Abbeville, Kelly of Corapeake, Kasey and husband Ayo Kolawole of Greenville, Kristy of Virginia Beach; siblings, Raymond of Leroy, Coleen of Aiken, Richard of Leroy, Phillip of Woodlands; grandkids, Jacen, La Dereck Jr. (Cori), Alonzo (Liliana), Lainey (Asher), Destiny, Chad Jr., Chanise, Denielle, Ladé, Midé (January), Femí, Ayo Jr., Christopher, Victoria (Sean), Bryanna and Lincoln (Genia); and 29 great grandkids with 2 more on the way.

There will be a visitation from 5-9pm, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Woodlawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11am, Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Kingdom Life, 1280 Bells Mill Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23322. Please offer your fondest condolences to the family at www.woodlawnnorfolk.com.
