Felisa V. Ramirez passed away on September 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Maria Rosario Vinluan and Mariano Vinluan of San Carlos City, Pangasinan, Philippines. Being the only child, she developed a love of animals, especially dogs and cats as pets. She often told stories about the Japanese invasion of the Philippines when she was young, and of how her family hid in a remote area. She married in 1954 to Lope Ramirez who entered the U.S. Navy when he was only 17. They owned fishponds and rice fields. She often told stories of how they gave away free fish to the local people at harvest time. With her family, she immigrated to Virginia in 1978. She loved to help her husband by planting vegetables and tending the garden. She enjoyed shopping for clothes and shoes and collecting coins. She read the Bible regularly. She worked for Lombart Lenses for several years. Thereafter, she worked in the commissary. She was a very sweet mother and grandmother. She was gentle and rarely prone to anger. She was generous to her children. In her later years, she enjoyed watching parades and the beauty of the botanical gardens. She also loved to watch Westerns and the news.
She is predeceased by her parents, Maria and Mariano Vinluan, her oldest daughter Cristina Ramirez, and her husband Lope C. Ramirez. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Roberto Ramirez (Merlita), her two daughters, Marilyn Stucker (Don) and Elizabeth Borel (Douglas); three grandchildren; Marjorie Langhi (Stephen), Rachel Ramirez, and Timothy Borel.
Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502, on October 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the Funeral from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
Burial will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502, on October 10, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm, with a Reception to follow from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
