Florence Sanders

Florence Sanders 86, passed away on February 24, 2014. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to Frank and Victoria Szczygielski, October 27, 1927. She is preceded in death by her husband James Madison Sanders Sr. and son James Madison Sanders Jr.; four brothers and three sisters. Florence worked in Civil Service where she retired after more than 20 years of service. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Kevin Sanders and wife Traci of Virginia Beach, daughter Anna Mae Owens and husband William of Powder Springs, GA, grandchildren; Justin Owens and wife Andrea, Joshua Sanders and Diana and husband Rolando De Hoyos, great-granddaughters, Ellie and Nora Owens and sister, Lucy DiSabato of N.J., and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11:30-12:30 Friday, February 28, 2014 at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm with interment following in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
