Frances C. Tate, 88, went to be with the Lord, January 28, 2011 at Chesapeake Health and Rehabilitation Center. She is the daughter of the late Conce and Nannie Key. Her pride and joy was her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind one daughter, Diane and spouse Daniel Platzer of Houston, T.X.; one son Gary Carr and spouse Donna Carr of Washington, NC; three grandchildren Debra Carr, Kevin Carr, and Staci Bickel; and six great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday, January 31, 2011 from 9:30a.m. to 11a.m. in Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk, with service to follow at 11 a.m.
