Frederick W. Cressman, Jr., 85, went to be with the Lord Jan. 15, 2013. Freddie retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after 27 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Ionic Royal Arch 46. Freddie was also a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Virginia Beach.
Freddie is survived by his wife of 65 years Shirley Maynard Cressman; son Rick Cressman, and wife Diane; daughter Belinda Capots and husband Danny; grandchildren Jeremy Capots, Kyle Cressman, and Erin Bakken.
A visitation will be held Thurs. Jan. 17, from 6-8pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk. The service will take place Fri. Jan. 18, at 12pm in Woodlawn Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.woodlawngroup.com.
