Virginia Beach-George Harold Wilson passed away on April 4, 2013 at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. George was born July 22, 1929 in Lyman, South Carolina to George B. and Jane Norris-Wilson. He served 20 years in the United States Navy and retired in 1969. George then retired after 22 years as a Locomotive Engineer for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years Beverly Wilson; son Douglas Wilson and fiancé Teresa Marks; step daughters Suzanne Richardson, son in law Hugh, Sherrill Pearce, son in law Gene, Sandra Farmer, Pamela Clark, son in law Jimmy; grandchildren Michael, Bryan, Kevin, Missy, Regena, Amy, Lance, Darren, James, Jennifer & Krissy; great grandchildren Caleb, Rylie, Anslie, Brody, Jordan, Madison, Cameron, Shelby, and Scarlet Rose.
Burial will be Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:00am graveside in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
