Georgette H. Sarlo

She was the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine Henderson. Georgette was born in Wisconson on October 17, 1925. She is predeceased by one son, Michael Allen Sarlo.

Georgette enjoyed watching her grandchild bowl, as well as all the other children at AMF Chesapeake Lanes. She was known as "Grandma" and always had a spot right up in the front to watch. She also loved playing electric solitare and word puzzles. She was known as granny-go-bot by her grandchildren and mama moose by her children. Most of all, her pride and joy was being a mother and grandmother.

To cherish her memory she leaves behind one daughter; Karen Peele and her husband Mike of Chesapeake, one son; Ronald Sarlo and his wife Debbie of Virginia Beach, one sister; Francis Mahfuz of Florida, five grandchildren; Ryan Sarlo, Brandon Peele, Crystal Sarlo, Sunshine Sarlo, Michael Sarlo, several great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 12, 2007 from 7 - 9 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. The funeral will be held Monday at 11:30AM in the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel.
