Norfolk - Gerald Michael DeWit, Jr., 55, passed away May 22, 2012. He was born in Norfolk on Oct. 23, 1956. He was a graduate of Maury High School 1975. Gerry worked as a concrete finisher. He loved to skate, surf, and ride bikes. Gerry enjoyed collecting fine items. He loved his family, especially his son. He is preceded in death by his father, Gerald M. DeWit, Sr.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Patrick DeWit; mother, Elaine Carter; and sisters, Virginia Sivak, Susan Rogers, and Penny Meccia.
