Mary Lee. I just heard about your loss yesterday. We are so sorry. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

It's so hard to believe that the towering Uncle Jerry I knew and loved is gone. He was someone I marveled at growing up. a true "Navy man and the first soldier i experienced. He loved family and friends and his fellow Navy companions. He was a disciplined man, a loyal husband and a real guy's guy. As a youngster, my job when a Bills game was on was to bring he and his father beers as they bellowed at the TV screen when they visited. I learned all about football from them. And how to laugh at a good joke. Uncle Jerry will truly be missed.  He was loved by all.

My mythic Uncle Jerry, larger than life, is gone. I remember his bark and his laugh. I remember his enjoyment of an evening with friends & family. I remember his satisfaction with his house & yard, his excitement over owning the refrigerator that housed his keg & tap, and his proclamations about boxers being the best dogs ever. I remember that he carried Pat into the shower when she was too weak to do so on her own. I remember his admiration of Mary Lee's fierce fight for the rights of veterans & his happiness of having a companion again. Uncle Jerry lives on, in my memory, forever.

We are so sorry for your loss. Jerry will be missed by all.

Jerry and I shared New York State as our original stomping grounds and as my next-door neighbor for over 25 years he epitomized the meaning of being a wonderful neighbor. We also shared a backyard fence and if we were both outside at the same time he would very rarely fail to call me over to the fence to tell me his latest jokes! When I sadly moved a few years ago, having him as my neighbor and good friend was and still is one of the things I missed the most. I definitely don't have a "Jerry neighbor" here in my new neighborhood ... he was an original and he could never be replaced.  I will have many good memories of Jerry forever and will continue to miss and remember him. God speed, Jerry, and I know that Mandy has caught up to you by now at Heaven's Rainbow Bridge.  Until later, Jerry, I will await your next newest joke for a later time. My prayers and thoughts are with Mary Lee, who always took such good care of him, and with his sons Jeff, Ben, and Jay and their families during this sad time.

Both Susan and I were saddened to hear of Jerry's death. Please accept our deepest condolences and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. His dedication and devotion to God, Country, the US Navy and Disabled Veterans is a legacy that will endure and transcend generations to come. For Jerry, life has not ended but only changed. As a spiritual gift to your family, Jerry was remembered during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. A Votive Candle will also be lit in his memory at Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. With love and God's blessing to you all.

We will miss Jerry, he was a great veteran, a great guy, and an awesome scout leader. i will always remember getting hurt as a young scout at Northwest Naval Radio Station where we camped w/ Troop 370 and he took me all the way back to Norfolk to see a doctor, get treated, and then brought me back to camp. It always stuck w/ me his thoughtfulness and also his sense of humor! Our loss is Heaven's gain!

Mary Lee, please accept our condolences from all of us at Post 327. You and Jerry have always been a great supporter of the SAL. We will miss seeing him at our Friday night dinners.  He will be truly missed.

Lupejkis Family..we are sorry to hear the news that Jerry has passed.  I worked with Jerry at the NADEP before it closed in the 90's.  Also enjoyed Jerry's friendship outside of work over the years. My wife are so thankful that we were able to visit with him recently after he was admitted to the hospital. Jerry's family..you are in our thoughts and prayers..

I worked with Jerry at Norfolk before NADEP closed. Jerry was a great guy and I enjoyed spending time with him outside of the office as well. He will be missed. Prayers to the family.

Lupejkis Family, I was so sorry to learn of Jerry's passing. I met him after both of us had retired from the Navy and worked with him for about 10 years at VSE and NARF. We enjoyed a few games of golf and I always enjoyed his company and friendship. I live in NC now and will not be able to pay my respects in person. He was a very good man and loved "his" Bills.
