Geraldine “Gerri” B. Ford of Chesapeake, Virginia, 72, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born in Bladenboro, NC in 1944 to the late Frank and Nina Brown. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 23 years Charles “Chuck” Ford. Gerri retired from the Chesapeake School System where she was a school bus driver for 18 years.
Gerri is survived by her 3 sons, Eddie and wife Carmen Byrum, Mike and wife JoAnn Byrum, Dwayne and husband Rodney Byrum; 4 grandchildren, Aden, Kayla, Bow, and Catie Byrum; 1 sister, Carolyn and husband Junior Chambley; 3 brothers Jerry and wife Amelia Brown, Gary and wife Sheri, Terry and wife Carolyn and many other family members and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, November 22 at 7pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk. Please leave a message of comfort for the family.
