Gilbert "Gil" Hernandez Jr., 57, passed away January 9, 2011. Born in New York, he is the son of the late Gilberto Hernandez. Gil served in the U.S. Army and later worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist (QMRP) for the Community Services of Virginia. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Saundra Hernandez. Gil is survived by his mother, Carmen Hernandez, six sons, three daughters, sixteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother, two sisters and his previous wife of seventeen years, Gale Robinson.
A visitation will be held on Friday January 14, 2011 from 10am-12pm in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow. 6329 Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk.
