Mrs. Stelly was born in Eureka, North Carolina and resided in Norfolk since 1961. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank Pender and Mattie Blow Pender; two brothers Marvin Pender and Lloyd Pender and two sisters Harlowe Jurney and Agnes Hart.
Mrs. Stelly was a Co-Owner and Bookkeeper of Metro Amusements Company for more than forty-five years.
Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-three years Robert Bruce Stelly; a daughter Carol Miller and husband David; a son Randy Stelly; two sisters Hazel Smith and Shirley Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 19 from 1 to 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
