I will remember Helena fondly as someone who kept the MDV team of business managers on our toes and accountable. She would happily explain any part of the MDV system to us if we didn't understand it but she also held us to a high level of performance. She was a drill-sergeant and a fun co-worker all at the same time.

I remember when I first moved to Virginia and didn't know anybody and I was telling Helena I needed to find a seamstress to hem my pants. She offered to do it for me and she did a great job. Helena didn't even really know me at the time but she was just happy to help a fellow MDVer out.

I send my condolences to Helena's family.

Sorry for your loss, O’Brien family and Helena’s entire family.
Rest In Peace, Helena Pettine-Holland.
You always had a great smile on your face.
I remember days together when we were very young, and everyone showed up at the Pettine House on West Broadway, South Boston, Mass. Maybe for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Those were always fun times.
You deserve this rest now and forever.
Deepest Sympathy.

Helena trained me when I first started working at MDV. She was fastidious and expected the best. I really appreciate the time she took to help me learn about MDV. She was a friend and mentor. May GOD bless her family and soften the blow of her passing. Best Wishes, Dorothy.
