Henry Albert Young, Jr. was born July 19, 1950 in Norfolk, VA to Henry Albert Young, Sr. and Ouida C. Young. He was predeceased by his father and is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ginger "JooJoo"; his mother, Ouida (Wheat) Young; and his sister, Judy McGranahan (Johnnie) of Littleton, NC; daughter, Heather Simmons (Vasilis) of Virginia Beach, VA; and son, Henry Albert “Trey” Young, III (Tonya) of Knotts Island, NC., and his faithful K9, Buck.
He has a special granddaughter, Hunter Smith (James) and great granddaughter, Adeline; grandson, Dyami Simmons; granddaughters, Sedona, Ella and Emily Simmons; and a host of extended family and friends.
Henry proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and succumbed to the effects of Agent Orange on September 26, 2022.
Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made in Henry’s honor to The Warrior Dog Foundation.
