Ilse Kowalewitch Malczak

Norfolk- Ilse Kowalewitch Malczak, 75 of Norfolk, Beloved Mom and Grandmother passed away March 27, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. Ilse was born on March 20, 1933 in Lauenburg, Germany the daughter of the late Willi and Meta Glaubke. Ilse is also predeceased by her husband and soul-mate Stefan Malczak, four brothers and her two sisters. Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter Marlies Landry and her husband Marty, of Norfolk; her son Richard Kowalewitch and his wife Dorothy, of Virginia Beach. Her two grandchildren; Jessica and Megan were the light of her life and she was so incredibly proud of both of them, and they both loved their "Omi". Also surviving are her brothers Willi, Klaus, Jack, and Freddy Glaubke, all of Norfolk, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday March 31, 2008 at 10:00AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church 155 W. Government Avenue Norfolk, Va. Interment will follow mass at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Woodlawn Funeral Home 6329 E.
