Inez S. Koger

VIRGINIA BEACH Inez S. Koger, 85 of Virginia Beach, passed away, Wednesday, March 4, 2009 surrounded by her family. She was born July 22, 1923 to the late Roy and Fanny Shorter. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Norfolk for 30 years. She was also a member of Mims Bible Class, Gideon International Auxiliary, and W.M.U.

She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Randolph Koger Sr., six brothers, and four sisters. Surviving are her two sons, David L. Koger, and wife Barbara of Connecticut; Curtis R. Koger, Jr. and wife, Deborah, of Virginia Beach; 3 granddaughters, Leigh Ann Koger, Faith Ann Koger, and Joy Elizabeth Koger, a grandson Paul Russell Koger; 2 sisters, Dorothy Matherly and Jane White, and one brother, Billy Shorter.

A funeral will be held at 1:30PM, Saturday, March 7, 2009 by Dr. Eric Thomas, with Rev. Dick Baker officiating at First Baptist Church, Norfolk. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. Condolences may be offered to the family on-line at www.woodlawngroup.com.
