

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents: his late mother and father, Ila May Locklear and Hersley Jacobs, His wife Shirley Jacobs which he missed very much.
Ivory grew up in Red springs, North Carolina, on his parents farm of tobacco and soy bean. He astonished loved ones by his gentle heart and kind touch. He was always a little tough but knew when to soften up.
Ivory loved music. He would put the old school records in the stereo cabinet and listen to if for hours. He loved to play golf and his yard was the prettiest one on the block. He tinkered in the garage and would work on a vehicle in the drop of a hat. Later in life, Ivory took up spending time with his grandchildren and great grand children which filled his life with joy. He would beam with happiness, telling everyone how proud he was of his family .
Ivory is survived by his loving sons, Eugene Jacobs (Cindee), Anthony Jacobs, Keith Jacobs (Tracy), and Darrell Jacobs. His grandchildren, Holly, Heath, Keith, Kevin, Cruz, Camden, Marlee and Talon. His great-grandchildren, Rylan, Lyle, Mykala, Leanna, Alex, Christian, Kaya, Kynlee, Gunnar, and Bruce.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, May 28th from 5pm - 8pm, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 29th at 11am at Azalea Garden Church of God, 1541 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
Followed by the committal at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, where Ivory will be laid to rest beside his beloved Shirley.
All friends and family are welcome to attend and honor his life and legacy in Jesus Christ.
