James W. Curtis, age 84, died on 7-18-2010 in Chesapeake. Born in Mississippi, he's been an area resident for the past 50Yrs. James served in the U.S. Navy for twenty six years. He fought in WWII, The Korean conflict and Vietnam War retiring as a Chief Radarman. He is predeceased by his loving wife Jaunita Simpkins, his parents Frank and Lillian Curtis, and brother Robert. Left to cherish his memory are his 4 daughters; Linda Baird (Tom), Tina Corcoran (Mike), Dana Gisler, Jamie Harrison, one son, James Curtis, Jr ( Denise), and brother Tony. He also leaves five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday July 21, @ 1pm atWoodlawn Memorial Gardens 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk.
