Jim was born January 28, 1967 in Norfolk, Virginia and graduated from Granby High School in 1985. He started working at Cox Communications in 1990 as a fiber-optics technician who was extremely passionate about his work. He was loved by both his colleagues and superiors.
Jim spent his spare time doing what he loved; playing pool, bowling, and spending time with his family and friends. He leaves behind his mother and father, Sheila and Dennis Brown; his sister, Tina Wells; his children, Nicholas Guynn, Cheyanne Wells, and Joshua Wells; his grandchildren, Gunner and Ryatt Westbrook. He was predeceased by his sister, Bonita Smith and brother, Ronald Wells; two step-sisters Michelle Lynn Leggio of Madisonville, LA and Cheryl Lynn Heston of Baton Rouge, LA.
A graveside service for James will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, Virginia 23502.
