Obituary of Jeffrey Scott Greer
Jeffrey (Jeff/Jeffy) Greer, passed away at home peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, June, 18, 2022 at the age of 53. He was born in Virginia Beach, VA to David R. Greer, Sr. and Barbara Greer on October 18, 1968. Jeff graduated from Bayside High School and worked with his family at Cycle World. Those who knew him knew he was a one of a kind man. There was, and never will be, another Jeffy. He was a smart alek, and lived life on his own terms. He was known to sing goofy songs, dance to the beat of his own drum, speak his mind, stick up his middle finger in photos, and always have a good time. He loved (select few, so he claimed) animals and playing with all of the kids. He was so proud of his daughters, and he was the best Papa to his grandson. He adored his parents. Jeff was passionate about motocross and dirtbikes, watching supercross, UNC basketball, camping (in an RV...definitely NOT a tent), weed, eating, jet skiing, paddle boarding, traveling, and obviously living life to the fullest. He was sure to bet on a Yamaha at any race, and he loved to roll dice to see who was buying lunch despite being known as a penny pincher. He was known to be a neat freak that would start cleaning up before guests left or wash dishes before everyone was done eating. Weekend morning breakfast was his specialty. Using AC was not. He loved riding bikes, going on trips, having endless talks, flirting with the ladies, and going out with his great friends, Roger Holmes, and the moto idiots. He always reminded us that he is the "coolest person you know." Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Morgan Greer and Lexi Park; his furbaby, Oakley (the favorite daughter), his grandson/knucklehead, Jameson Kelly; his parents, David, Sr. and Barbara Greer; his brother, David R. Greer, Jr. (Collette); his sister, Dawn Greer (Josh Anderson), his ex-wife and mother of his children, Amanda Greer; his many nieces and nephews; his daughters’ friends that were like adopted children to him (Becca Willison); and a multitude of friends and motocross family across the country. The family will receive guests at Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 6-8 pm. Everyone is welcome to join family and friends at Miss Kitty's afterwards. Please wear flip-flops, motocross t-shirts, casual attire, or come as you are comfortable. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
