Juliaett Worrell was a woman of strength, faith, and grace. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Thelonious Burden Sr. and Lillian Pettaway, she lived a life deeply rooted in a love for God and caring for others.
Her presence filled any room she entered. She had a quiet power that was steady, real, and full of faith. She loved God out loud and lived every day abiding by His word. Those who knew her remember her as honest, caring, and always willing to lend a helping hand or a prayer.
Juliaett devoted her life to her family and to serving others. She is survived by her daughters Raecita A. Gallop, Catherine D. Akhi, and Joy T. Penno; grandchildren Criscita A. Alexander, Joshua E. Alexander, and Joyelle J. Williams; and great-granddaughter Harmony E. Alexander. She was preceded in death by her parents and her precious son, Sean K. Gallop.
Her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace and reunited with loved ones who went before her. Her faith never wavered, and even now, her spirit continues to guide, comfort, and inspire those she leaves behind.
We invite you to share your memories, stories, and photos of Juliaett as we celebrate her life and the love she gave so freely.
