Julie Ann Frances Stockwell, 66, passed away with family close to her side on Thursday evening in Virginia Beach. Julie was born in Banbury, England to the late William and Gertrude Cummings. Julie loved spending time with her family, watching the Norfolk Admirals play, playing puzzles, drinking coffee, gardening, crafting, fishing, and shopping. She was a beloved wife, mother, and “Nana” who was truly there for anybody who needed her. Such a giving natured soul, Christmas was always her favorite holiday to give her time and love to her family. She is cherished in memory by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Stockwell; six children, Paul Chester (Cindy), Matt Chester, David Chester (Katie), Marcus Chester (Sara), Tina Darden (Ereyk) and Vanessa Stockwell-Lindley (Cody); grandchildren, Oliver, Abigail, Brandon, Ashton, Chloe, Kaleb, Quinn, Deshawn, Joshua, Sierra, Ariana, Grace, Teagan, Ashton, Lucas and Nolan as well as her four siblings, Linda, Jean, Pete, and Jim.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2pm, February 13, 2021 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.woodlawnnorfolk.com.
