Norfolk~ Kenneth R. Evans, 59, went to be with his heavenly father and savior on Sunday, September 19, 2010. Kenny retired from shop 56 at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He was a Vietnam era Army veteran. Kenny is survived by his mother, Vivian Lucien; his brothers Tommy Evans, and Jeff Evans and his wife Jane; sister Rosie Jones and husband Kenny; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles whose lives he touched, and whom he loved. He is also survived by his church family at Calvary Baptist Church led by Rev. Richard Smith, all he dearly loved. He was predeceased by his father, William Evans; his stepfather Frank Lucien; and his brother Randy Evans.
A visitation will be Friday, September 24, from 7 to 9PM. A funeral service will take place Saturday, September 25, at 2PM conducted by Rev. Smith at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. The family would like to thank Drs. Reed and Silva for their excellent care for many years.
