Lan Ching Jeng Torio passed away at the age of 90 on March 18, 2024. She was born in Capiz, Philippines, as the second child among seven siblings and spent her early years in Zamboanga before moving to Manila. There, she earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Far Eastern University, which led to a successful career at the Manila Stock Exchange with Chong and Company.
Lan Ching is remembered for her enduring love and the cherished memories she created, leaving behind her husband of 55 years, Ernesto Torio, their children, Mirabel (married to Mar) and Nathaniel (married to Jennifer), her grandchildren Andria, KC, Adrian, and Ashley, and many close family and friends. Her life was marked by faith, leaving a legacy of hope for eternal peace.
The family invites friends to join them in remembering Lan Ching on April 9, 2024, at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Norfolk, VA, with a visitation at 4pm and a service at 5:30pm. This event will celebrate her life and her faith, offering comfort and a time to reflect on her spiritual journey.
