Laura Seibert Hierholzer passed away peacefully at her home in Virginia Beach, on March 6th 2019 from Glioblastoma Brain Cancer at the age of 56. A native of Virginia Beach, Laura graduated from First Colonial High School in 1981. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland University College and her Masters of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Laura was a Virginia Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and founded her successful private practice, Seibert Neuro Psych LLC in Virginia Beach VA. Laura was a highly successful Therapist, specializing in treating PTSD in combat veterans and sexual assault victims. Laura was also a long term recovery member in local 12 Step Recovery programs and helped many women over the years, freely giving away what was freely given to her. Laura is predeceased by her Maternal Grandmother Lucy Yates, her Aunt Beverly Yates Conroy and her Father, Horst Seibert. Laura is survived by her husband Martin Hierholzer, mother Gaye Anderson, stepfather Pete Anderson, Brother Chris Seibert and his wife Linda, Daughter Paige Wilmer and her husband Cody, Uncle Richard Yates and his wife Carolyn, and numerous stepchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, grand and great grand- children. A loving Grandmother, Mother, Daughter, Aunt, Wife, Therapist and Friend, Laura will be greatly missed by her family and many friends and associates. Laura will be interred in a private ceremony at Edgewood cemetery in Grottoes VA. A Celebration of Life will be held for Laura on Saturday the 9th of March, 11:00 AM at her church, Vineyard Community Church, 4444 Expressway Dr. Virginia Beach, VA. May she rest in peace.
