Leonard Jeffery Springfield

He was born 29 April 1952, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of the late Vashti and Leonard Springfield. He was the fourth of five siblings. On 12 July 1984, he married Monica Springfield (Singletary), who survives. This union was blessed with three beautiful daughters.

Jeff proudly served in the United States Navy until his retirement in 1998. Jeff loved long road trips, listening to music, (jazz was his favorite), Sci-Fi movies, and tinkering with electronics. Jeff was always up for the challenge of a good debate. He was a visionary in the kitchen, if you did not have his lemon chicken, you missed out! Jeff was a true family man and enjoyed laughs, jokes, and his peace.

His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his three daughters: Danyelle Springfield, Bridget Ramsey, and Ashley Springfield. One son: Daina Springfield. One daughter-in-law: Ashely Springfield. One son-in-law: Derek Ramsey. His eight grandchildren: Kierra Springfield, Desmond Springfield, Ja’Marcus Collins, Amyah Ramsey, Layla Ramsey, Brianna Ramsey, Jordyn Bates, and Stokley Springfield-Pettus. One great-grandson Khari Springfield. One sister: Myra Reich and one brother: Wanye Springfield. One sister-in-law and one brother-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.
