Lester Albert Windham, 82, of Norfolk, Virginia passed away in Clermont, Florida, March 11, 2013. He was born in Greenville, North Carolina, January 3, 1931 to William Albert and Ruby Partin. Lester was married to Melba Jane Chamlee on June 22, 1956.
Lester serviced in the Army. He retired from A&P after 33 years as a butcher. Lester enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his children and grandchildren.
Lester was survived by his wife Jane; children Mary (Michael Berry), Sharon (Marc Kirkey), Timothy Windham, Brenda Price and Keith Windham; grandchildren Michelle, Mindy, Michael Jr, Marcy, Jenny, Jerry, Barbara, Kyle and Leslie; great grandchildren Jordyn, Zakary, Nykolas, Mandy, Hailey, Justin, DaeShawn and Ayanna; brother Edwin Smithwick (Betty) and sister in law Jean Windham.
Funeral services will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Crematory, 6329 East Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, Virginia. The viewing will be 11:00 to 12:00 with the funeral from 12:00 to 1:00 on March 15, 2013.
