She loved all of her sister and brothers in law, and her many nieces and nephews. There are a slew of other children who she adopted along the way in her heart through Scouts, volunteering, neighbor kids, and her children/grandchildren’s friends. They all lovingly called her “Nana or Mom Worley.”
After she graduated from De La War high school in Newcastle, Delaware in 1965 Linda worked many jobs in her lifetime; housekeeper, published poet, cashier, beautician, Girl Scout leader, and CNA before finding her true career calling as a nurse. Linda loved life – she gave the best hugs and was an advocate for the Girl Scouts. Linda was a devote woman of Faith, in the church, in family, and in her friends. Her love and laughter was inspiring and infectious. To know her was to know a true friend, for there was no one more loyal and helpful. Even in her darkest hour she was willing to stretch out a hand to those in need of it.
She was a women that had many hobbies and talents. She had a singing voice that she was never afraid to use. She sang in the church as a canter in her youth all the way into her adulthood. As a quilter, she had more projects then she had children and grandchildren. She had the ability to mend and sew any damage and fix any stain. Her tea pot collection could revival anyone's at more then fifty teapots.
