Lynn Southall Lynn Johnson Southall, 63, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 8, 2024, in her Chesapeake home surrounded by her family. Born on June 29, 1962, in Norfolk, Virginia, where she grew up and spent her childhood and young adult life. A devoted military wife to her late husband of 14 years, Clement Eugene Southall, and a loving mother, Lynn is survived by her children, Heather Lynn Gerst, and Sarah Nichole Southall. A proud and doting grandmother, Lynn is survived by her grandchildren: Haley Lynn Gerst, Julian James Gerst, and Madilyn Grace Lamay. Lynn’s grandchildren will always remember her nurturing spirit and the way she engaged with the unique individuality of each of them. She is further survived by her sons-in-law, Michael Allen Lamay and David James Gerst, who she loved and adored as her very own children; Robyn Manson, her best friend of 55 years. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Dennis Johnson and Ruby King Johnson. Lynn Johnson Southall will be deeply missed. Her legacy of kindness and strength will live on in her children, grandchildren, and everyone whose lives she touched. May you rest in peace, Lynn. Your love and spirit will continue to guide and comfort us.
