Madeline Bly

Madeline Bly, daughter of the late Mary Frances Whitehurst and Willie Nichols, was born on July 19, 1919 and went to be with the Lord and Savior on March 31, 2013. She was born in Princess Anne County, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her siblings Bernard Nichols, Alice Washington, Annie Mae Byrd, and Herman Nichols. Mat, as she was affectionately called, was a former member of Union Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mat loved to sing, dance, and take care of her grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her loving memory; a daughter Mary Louise Fuller (Edward) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, a son: George Thomas Robinson of Portsmouth, Virginia, along with ten grandchildren; Bo, Danny, Janice, Michael, Denice, Sharon, Paula Dunlap, Sharon Hooper, fourteen great-grandchildren; Daphne, Shawn, Danielle, Larry, Markus, JL, Tim, Robin, Cassandra, Fingahs, Renita, Norma Nicholson, Ashley Nicholson, ten great-great-grandchildren; Amari, Oriana, Skylar, Nathaniel, Larry Jr., Lia, Jah’son, Jah’cal, Trevon and Tay-Tay, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 6-8pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk and where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, April 4, 2013. Following the interment, family and guests will dine at Sharon Barnes (granddaughter), 728 Bottino Lane, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23455
