Margaret dedicated much of her life to serving others, retiring from Eastern Virginia Medical School as a Resident Coordinator, where she was known for her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support of students and colleagues alike. Beyond her career, she found joy in crafting, gardening, and spending time with her beloved book club. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her with grace and strength. She cherished outings with her sisters, moments of laughter with family, and the simple beauty of a well-tended garden. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt whose love and warmth will be deeply missed.
Margaret cherished a tradition passed by her mother, crafting heart-shaped pillows or red trucks for her daughters and grandchildren for the traditional 16th birthday. This tradition will now continue with her daughters, honoring their beloved Mom.
Margaret enjoyed thrift shopping, exploring historical sites, abandoned houses and going to see different lighthouses. Her favorite thing was to read; she had a deep love of books and genuinely loved being with her book club. She loved baking, she even took cake baking lessons to make special cakes for birthdays, holidays, and other occasions. She also loved to be silly and have fun, whether it was driving around in the motorized cart at the grocery store just to pretend to run over our dad or going through the toy aisle and turning on every toy to make it loud on that aisle, she had such a great sense of humor. Our mom loved to laugh and loved to see us laugh even more.
She will be dearly missed, leaving a void in the hearts of her husband and children until they reunite. We love you Momma (Nana)
