Our beloved Esther Hardy, 80, went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2016. She was born in Seven Springs, NC in 1936 to the late Jesse and Emma Williams. Known by all as “Momma Hardy” Esther was a member of First Baptist Church, Norfolk, and dedicated her life to raising her family and caring for many other children. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Chester A. Hardy and granddaughter Tiffany Marie Hardy.
Left to cherish her memory are her three sons; Paul (Suzie), Tim and John (Gayle) Hardy, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and brother; Donald Williams
Esther’s funeral will be held, Friday, December 9, 2016 at 1 PM at First Baptist Church, Norfolk, 312 Kempsville Rd, Norfolk. The visitation will be Thursday night from 6 – 8 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk with burial following in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
