Mary Blythe Herring

Mary Blythe Herring, 89, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019. A resident of Virginia Beach, she was born in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina to the late Charlie and Fannie Blythe. Mary is predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Herring; and brother, C.D. Blythe. Mary loved her family and food, especially Krispy Kreme donuts. She enjoyed staying home, doing puzzles, and a playing a good hand of spades or canasta. Left to keep her memory alive are her daughter, Linda Carpenter (Bert); two sons, Jural Herring (Emily) and Bruce Herring (Bonnie); grandchildren, Cristy Ellis (Brian), Ashley Herring (Troy), Nicole Carpenter; great-grandchildren, Damon Bonney, and Grace Carpenter; sister-in-law, Carolyn Blythe; and sister-in-law's sister, Nancy Parker.
