Mary Odell Lyon

Mary Odell Lyon, 89, passed away in Virginia Beach on Monday. Mary was born in Washington, NC to the late Ottis and Bertha Woolard. She was also predeceased by her husband, Alvin; son, Jack; siblings, Herman , Margaret, Donald, Glen, Mattie Louise and Robert. She had a love of cooking and worked for the Chesapeake Grill. She is survived by her nieces, Sue, Molly, Theresa and Shelia; nephews, Doug, Gary, Mike, Keith, Ernie, Ray and Albert. A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Norfolk SPCA at www.norfolkspca.org.
