Virginia Beach, VA Maxine E. White, age 85, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Virginia Beach General Hospital. Maxine was a native of South Norfolk and the widow of Jesse White. Surviving are two sons; Irvin C. (Jim) Jones, Jr. , Jesse Milton (Bubba) Jones and a daughter, Diane Elizabeth Jones Phillips. Nineteen grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Two sisiters-in-law, Esther"Dot" Frank Hurst and Margaret Frank. Also several nieces and nephews who called her "Aunt Mackie" The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, Va 23502 and where funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday in the chapel. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
