Michael Norton Jackson

Mike passed away at his home on Saturday, October 24, 2020, surrounded by loved ones after a heroic battle against Sarcoma. Mike was born in Oakland, CA on January 20, 1966. The son of Walter Jackson and the late Carol Jackson Bigler. He is preceded in death by his father Leslie Bigler. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Michele “Katy” Jackson; son, Michael Jackson; and daughter, Makayla Jackson and his loyal four legged partner, Sultan. His brother, Brian and wife, Jeanette Jackson. His mother in law, Martha Warren. His sister in laws, MaryLynn Anderson, Melissa Warren, Melanie Fogleman, and Meghan Warren. Nieces and Nephews, Luke and Mackenzie Jackson, Corie Stratton, Temple, Boyce, Gabe Anderson and Quinn Copeland. Warren and Clint Fogleman and many life time friends and loyal customers and extended family. After graduating high school at Floyd E Kellam in 1984, he worked in the construction industry running heavy equipment for many years. In 2000 he received his Associate Degree at ECPI. His love for the outdoors and landscaping lead him to go into business for himself for the last 21 years were he owned and operated MJ’s Lawn Service. In his free time, he loved to go RC racing, off shore fishing and watching his kids play sports. The family will honor Mike's memory with a Memorial Service on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 2pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk.
