NORFOLK - Midge L Woolard, 82, passed away December 17, 2017 in Asheboro, NC. Previously of Norfolk, VA, she left the workforce early to stay home and babysit her grandchildren. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday School. Mrs. Woolard is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Donald R. Woolard and a daughter, Susan Dozier. She is survived by her son Mike Dozier (Carol); two daughters, Cheryl Payne and Kim Dozier (Kenny); eight grandchildren, Michael, Josh, Stacy, Neva, Greg, T-Jay, Peter and Frankie; and thirteen great grandchildren, Carter, Virginia, James, Hollie, William, Austin, Gabriel, Brantley, Kinley, Easton, Caden, Blakely, and Bentley. Her fourteenth great grandchild (Avery) is due very soon.
A viewing will be held today from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. with a service following at Temple Baptist Church, 3300 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk, VA 23509 with Pastor Mark Pullen officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens on Friday at 10:00am.
