Nicholas Adam Murrell

Nicholas, better known to friends and loved ones as Nick, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 25, 2014. Nicholas was born on December 3, 1997. Nicholas was a sophomore at Bayside High School. He was on the Marlins Varsity Boys Soccer team and JV Wrestling team. Nicholas was the goalkeeper for the ODSC Barracudas.

Nicholas is survived by his parents Susan and Herby Murrell; older brother Zachary; best four-legged buddy Molly of Va. Beach; his grandmother Carol A. Horner of Va. Beach; his uncle Kenny Horner of Norfolk; his aunt Sandra Isley, cousin Kevin Isley, cousin Katie Greene, husband Neil & daughters Serena & Maya of Va. Beach; numerous great aunts & uncles, cousins and their families; his Bayside Marlin Soccer coaches & teammates; his Bayside Marlins Wrestling coaches & teammates along with his long time ODSC Barracuda teammates and many, many friends.

Nicholas was preceded in death by his Grandpa Jack H. Horner Jr; his Nanny & Papa JoAnne & Herbert Murrell Sr; his uncle Jay Horner and his aunt Cindy Dunny.

Nicholas will be remembered as a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, teammate and friend. He was a kind and compassionate young man who always had a smile for everyone. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, 6329 E. Va. Beach Blvd, Norfolk. Visitation will be held 1-3 p.m. prior to the service.
