Patrick “Pat” Dunn passed away peacefully during the early morning of Wednesday, April 25. He was at home surrounded by his family and friends. Pat spent his entire adult life in law enforcement, retiring from the Norfolk Police Department as a detective and then from the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office as a Major.
Pat is survived by his daughter: Jamie Cook and her husband Dylan, his two beloved granddaughters: Kasey and Emily Cook, sister: Diane Bolin and her husband Randy, nephew and niece: Vincent and Katy O’Brien, sister: Chrissy Myers and her husband Daniel, nieces and nephew: Brooke, Britney and Grant and brother: Billy Coleman, Jr.
Pat is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth (Betty) Coleman, stepfather, William D. Coleman and his older brother U.S. Army Warrant Office, James H. Dunn III.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 3 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM the same day. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial contribution in Pat’s name to WWW.VVMF.ORG
